Diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis

When the gene that enables us to secrete saliva, sweat, mucous and our digestive juices fails to function properly the result is CF or Cystic Fibrosis. This gene does not allow salt to move throughout the cells effectively, thus increasing the viscosity or thickness of the fluids.
